Charity Stream for Tracy Yardley! | Facebook

badsonicfanart:

For everything that is posted here, it is important to also pay respect to those who give the Blue Blur artistic flair, and draw our favorite characters in a very appealing light. Tracy Yardley! has done fantastic work for the Sonic the Hedgehog comics over the years.

Next Saturday (April 19th), starting at around 3 PM EST, myself and FTA (head of Find The Computer Room and occasional BrainScratchComms guest (and a few of our friends if they can make it!)) will be hosting a charity stream where fans of Tracy’s work will have the opportunity to help him. Tracy puts it better than I can.

“To My Wonderful Fans,

Having worked with Archie Comics on the Sonic the Hedgehog comics has been a great privilege. Unlooked for, the good people of the Packrat Sonic Club of Packrat Comics in Hilliard, Ohio had a divine revelation that I could use some help and decided to run a benefit on my behalf. As some may know, I am the father of 5 children. My wife and I adopted 3 and had 2 of our own as well. By many standards I am a very rich man, but this last year has been trying in the money department. I know there are many out there who are in a much worse position that I am, but I’m very grateful for the help offered to me. I am continually awed by the love and encouragement I receive from my fans and I hope to help with future charity efforts to share the amazing goodwill that my fans have shown me.
With gratitude,
Tracy Yardley!”

Fans who donate certain amounts will be entered into raffle drawings to win prizes Tracy has generously offered, such as signed trade paperbacks, signed Jazwares figures, signed original artwork he created for the comics, signed individual issues of the comics and a few other prizes.

Even if you can’t donate any money, please feel free to join us for the stream anyways, and tell your friends!. We will be airing a 2 hour interview FTA conducted with Tracy in half hour chunks throughout the night (which will be released in full after the stream for easy listening), as well as playing through some of Tracy’s favorite games and multiplayer modes in Sonic games. It’ll be a great time and a great chance for fans of his work to help him out and even possibly win some cool signed stuff in return!

After this we will resume to our regularly scheduled programming on Bad Sonic Fan Art.

Healthy reminder that this is tomorrow.

Looks like I’d better speed up.
